Five Upgrades That Will Make Your RV Much More Enjoyable

Has your RV begun to feel more like a drab camper and less like a home on wheels? If you cannot afford to buy a whole new RV, do not despair. There are plenty of ways to upgrade your RV and make it a more enjoyable place to live without spending a fortune.

1. Tear up the carpet.

The old, dirty carpet in your RV will make it look and feel a lot older and more worn. In some RVs, you can just tear up the carpet and find a laminate floor underneath. If this is true of your RV, just tear up the carpet and put an area rug down in its place. You can remove and clean the area rug often, which will keep the RV cleaner and smelling fresher.

2. Replace the windows.

RV windows are not difficult to find if you visit an RV parts store. New windows will give your space a fresher look, and they are also more airtight, so your home won't feel so drafty on those chilly nights. In most cases, you can just pop the old windows out and insert new ones according to the instructions in your owner's manual.

3. Cover the seats.

Have the seats begun to look stained and worn? Maybe the sofa is a bit discolored, too. Look for RV seat covers at an RV parts supply company. You can pull them over the existing seats and sofa, and enjoy a fresher look. Pick a bold color like turquoise or orange, and your whole RV interior will brighten up.

4. Install a work desk.

Now that you can basically connect to WiFi from anywhere, many more people are trying to work from their RVs. If you are one of them, then you will have an easier time with a work desk installed in your RV. Look for a small desk that mounts on the wall and unfolds downward. This way, it will not be in your way when you are doing other things like eating dinner and playing cards.

5. Replace the toilet seat.

It's amazing how a new toilet seat can make the entire bathroom area look newer. Some RV toilet seats are smaller than normal household toilet seats, so you might need to shop for one at a dedicated RV store.

With these five upgrades, your RV will be like a whole new vehicle! Happy travels.

About Me

Making Your Kids Happy Every Day

Do you remember the last time your kids were truly happy? I started thinking about that very question, and it occurred to me that they needed a little more help getting outside and enjoying their free time. I started focusing on putting them in sports and encouraging them to try new things, and it was really cool to see how powerful the difference made for them. I wanted to start a new blog that was all about recreation and sports, because I have seen firsthand how much of a difference it can make to an individual. Read more on this blog for great tips.
